Jordan is located on the east bank of the Jordan River. It is a landlocked country (except for a small coastline at the Red Sea’s Gulf of Aqaba) and shares borders with:
        •       Syria to the north
        •       Iraq to the northeast
        •       Saudi Arabia to the east and south
        •        The West Bank to the west
